Edit: knowing the lyrics too, it’s also like he’s finally able to let out everything he’s been hiding. he suppressed his emotions so much, been a support beam for so many people...and the relief of being able to let his own emotions out through music or just at all is immense. he is a genius and this song did not get the attention it deserved.

For those who want to read Changbin’s comment : “Streetlight” is a song that tells the lyrics of a person who laughs and pretends not to speak to others on the crowded hip-hop track without being able to speak to others . I can’t solve it , but just confusing it makes me feel as ease . In fact , before I wrote this song , I couldn’t really tell anyone and sometimes I struggled alone . This is a streetlife EMORAP sub genre.. I love how JYP used its medium to spreads awareness using its music form.. After day6 ZOMBIE emo inspired, now we have a sub genres to listen too.. Only JYP artist did it first, on this GENERATION 2020! KUDOS TO JYP and its ARTISTS! Koreans millennials should listen more on this kind of genres.. Bec. It never crossed my mind that someone like Changbin who always seems so happy could hold such heavy emotions beneath his smiles. At this point, Streetlight isn't just a song. It's a work of art. It's where Changbin let his guards down and appeared vulnerable to thousands of us. It's where he spilled what he truly felt throughout his passing days and opened up to all of us. Along with his powerful rap skills, beautiful vocals and meaningful lyrics, this song is a masterpiece. And today, i want to express this gratitude of mine to him for creating such an amazing piece of song that is Streetlight.

Never heard a more Relatable song. Thank you Changbin for this masterpiece. As a person who's struggling with mental health issues, I don't know how to express my pain in words but this song really said it all

One think I realise, Stray Kids has many emotional rapper. I know they are based hip hop group and when the rapper rap, it sound so cool and aggressive but when they do melody rap, it just hit so hard. I can't describe it, but because they wrote the lyrics themselves, that's why their expression is so real. They went through it. They are still young but you got to admit, almost all member are quite sentimental people. I don't really see this kind of kpop group in the industry. Most boy group don't do this kind of concept. Do you guys remember they sang Glow at their survival show, they say Changbin wrote it. They didn't even debut that time but Changbin wrote the song that reach the fan's heart. And when Minho, Felix and Changbin sang it in front of JYP, they look so sad like there's really that sad emotion on their face. They really put their heart when performing. I'm amazed by them. You know what people always say, how else can you write a song if you never experience it. I wish Stray Kids the best. Love them !

People have to understand that Changbin wrote this song out of his heart and thoughts, Kpop idols are humans too. They feel lonely some times just like everyone else. We can't just see them as robots and just dancing, singing and performing machines. They are humans, they have feelings. I am just glad that Stray Kids write songs about what they feel, it just encourages us that we are not alone and even the "perfect" kpop idols feel this way some times. So we have to appreciate their songs. They bring music to us and it makes us happy, they try to please us as much as they could, now it's time for us to help them feel better. 💖

I really agree.. Have just come across this for the first time. The lyrics are so powerful and set against beautiful rap beat and melody. The imagery of blue paint on dead twigs (beyond blue) added to the powerful message. I have lost friends and colleagues to depression and was bawling by the end. Song is very underrated.

Honestly, i've been postponing this song for such a long time. Guess i just couldn't bring myself together to listen to this masterpiece. But the moment first chords started i already felt it, felt that this song is gonna take special place in my mind. Even though i didn't understand lyrics at first, but the emotions throughout the song just shivered down my spine. Thanks to that comment with eng lyrics i felt even deeper the meaning of the song, and the fact that it was released during quarantine. Thank you Changbin for putting this feeling of loneliness into sucn a wonderful song, and of course our Chan for making this beautiful melody and arrangement. i love changbin so much, i'm so happy to have him as my ultimate bias. he really helps me so much, with his songs, with his words, with his eyes, with his being himself, with his laugh. just him. changbin is such an underrated vocalist and i'm NOT here for it. my boy deserves so much, really.

changbin this is still such an relatable and inspiring song. Just today i could relate to streetlight so strongly, getting hurt but not wanting to let others down by showing your emotions. Forcing a smile to remain the humorous person for your friends. I love them, i really do and i like making them laugh and showing them that i care, texting them everyday but sometimes i feel so incredibly lonely and left alone. Forcing yourself to remain in the dark and only being able to step forward as the strong person. Thank you for sharing yet another masterpiece. I am grateful for all of you working this hard. I love you all

i know most people tend to really focus on changbin's hard and aggressive raps on 'maze of memories' and 'matroshyka' so everyone automatically recommend those songs when ppl ask who he is, but there's more to him than that. i wish more people would also equally praise him for his creative and heartfelt metaphors within his lyricism in more of his mellow songs like 'streetlight', 'never-ending story' and 'only a fool knows' since it tells so much about him as a person and give people an insight at how powerful his lyric writing skill is at his age. idk out of all the songs he's been credited to, i just really feel like this song in particular have one of the most important message that others should listen to but it's just not getting enough recognition and it's kinda frustrating ajdldjskdhkd

Just discovered Stray Kids today and Changbin is my fave. I don't know why but find him captivating ❤❤❤

He put all his thought and feelings intro this. Changbin “it hurts to be alone” If you feel alone it’s alright. He can’t express his emotions except for being happy. He likes to make other happy and in the end makes him feel alone because everyone sees his bright side but not his hurt cold side. He is still trying to figure out what his feelings are. People can feel alone weather with fans or not. I would mention an example, but I don’t want to be that person that brings up another group or anything. He is still trying to figure out if he can express him emotions or not. Like his sadness and pain. He believes he needs to be happy for us, but that shouldn’t be like that. He needs to know we will love and support him even if he shows us his hurt side . We will always support him weather he does or doesn’t. That’s what I think and if you read this all. Thank you!
